This video was shot in 1981 when the Delaware & Hudson railroad was thriving and Alco power reigned supreme on the main line. Struggling up Belden Hill, the D&H does battle with this tough mountain grade every day.

Scenes at Starrucca Viaduct on trackage that is no longer there, and a D&H freight on the massive Tunkhannock Viaduct highlight this unique program.
