Atlanta & West Point 290 returns to service in this professionally produced 90-minute video.

Ex-A&WP 4-6-2 290 is a heavy Pacific type and was built by the Lima Locomotive Works in 1926. She is the newest steam locomotive to operate on the New Georgia Railroad, and has a long and colorful history.

You'll see the 290 on mainline runs from Atlanta to Macon and Savannah, Georgia, plus a strip to Stone Mountain. You'll also be trackside for a private photographers special using 290 to power an all Pullman green consist on the Atlanta loop. With no auxiliary water tank or diesels trailing, this train looks just like a typical passenger train of the late 1940s.

Plenty of trackside runbys, glass-smooth pacing, and in cab footage all add up to an action-packed program you won't want to miss. As an added bonus, you also see the New Georgia Railroad's E8s and FP7s in action.

Steamy, smoky runbys at the most scenic locations along New Georgia's Atlanta loop make "Two Ninety" a great video!
